I'm Jonathan, an MIT mechanical engineering student and graduate researcher.

I grew up in Colorado then Philadelphia before coming to Cambridge, MA to study at MIT.

My accademic study focuses on machine, precision, and systems design.

My graduate research, in collaboration with the MIT Aerospace Materials and Structures Lab and MIT Mechanosynthesis Group, is building novel materials testing equipment and design methodologies for additivley manufactured superalloy parts for extreme oxygen environements.

I'm happiest while enjoying nature, doing activities such as hiking, backpacking, mountain biking, sailing, and skiing.

I enjoy woodworking, tinkering, and getting my hands dirty with mechanical things!
